Product Description
Heather's Tummy Fiber ™ ~ Organic Acacia is a medical
food for the dietary management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome symptoms.
Acacia is a natural, pure, organic, soluble dietary fiber produced from
the gum of the Acacia tree. Clinical studies have shown that soluble fiber,
as part of the diet: helps soothe and regulate bowel motility; relieves
IBS abdominal pain and cramping by stabilizing intestinal contractions;
alleviates BOTH diarrhea and constipation. Heather's Tummy Fiber™
also: increases good gut flora - it's considered a prebiotic; has excellent
gastrointestinal tolerance; and slows down colonic fermentation, which
in turn decreases gas and bloating. Heather's Tummy Fiber™ is completely
safe and healthy for daily, lifelong use, is safe for use in children,
and has no GI irritants or stimulants. Soluble fiber will not compromise
normal bowel function at all once it gets your IBS symptoms under control
- it will simply keep things in that normal state. A soluble fiber supplement
is meant to keep your GI tract running smoothly, comfortably, and pain-free
on a day-to-day basis, now and forever. Heather's Tummy Fiber™ is
NOT a drug, it is NOT a laxative, it is NOT an anti-diarrheal medication.
Acacia is simply an organic, prebiotic soluble fiber supplement with absolutely
nothing else added, and it normalizes bowel function naturally in the
same manner as soluble fiber foods. Certified organic by QAI, vegan, and
certified kosher. Contains no gluten, sugar, salt, corn, soy, or yeast.

Directions
Dosages for adults 12 years & older: 4-16 grams per day total, divided
into two or three separate doses. START AT A LOW DOSE AND INCREASE GRADUALLY.
Maximum daily dose is 30 grams. If you stabilize at a lower dose, stay
there. Under 12 years old consult a doctor. Acacia should be used daily
for best results. Directions: Begin with a low dose (try ½ level
teaspoon, twice daily). Add Acacia to an empty cup, then stir with a fork
as you add liquid. Let rest for a few seconds and then stir again to completely
dissolve. Or, stir Acacia into any moist foods, hot or cold. Gradually
increase your daily dose until IBS symptoms stabilize. Diarrhea and spasms
should resolve in just a few days, especially as you begin to increase
your dose. Constipation, particularly if it has been chronic and severe,
may take several weeks, and often requires a gradual increase to the maximum
dose of about 4 level tablespoons per day.
Acacia Fiber Reviews
My IBS symptoms (mixed) reemerged horribly after having to discontinue
a serotonin-based antidepressant due to a rash. I had weeks of incredibly
painful symptoms and nothing worked, not even medication from the doctor.
I was taking Fibercon caps which did no good. In desperation I tried
a low dose of acacia powder and also later, one peppermint capsule a
day. A complete turnaround occurred in just a few days, also helped
by suggestions on the helpforibs.com website, and I have been doing
well ever since. Based on the timeframe,it appears the acacia powder
was the most significant agent. I am a complete skeptic so I can tell
you this was not a placebo effect. I didn't think it would work and
when it did, I was surprised and so grateful.
Ever since I was a little kid I've had stomach problems, cramps,
and I alternate between constipation and diarrhea. When I was in my
twenties I was finally told I have IBS, and that I should take psyllium.
I tried that and got bloating so bad I looked pregnant (and I'm a man).
Acacia for me is a miracle. No bloating, no gas. It just stops my diarrhea
and keeps me from getting constipated. I've been using it for several
months right now, and I couldn't be happier. I keep some at work, some
at home, and I travel with it too. This stuff is amazing - why didn't
they have this for me years ago?!
I've dealt with IBS for over 8 years. When it had gotten so bad I couldn't leave the house anymore, I decided enough was enough. I did a search for IBS and found Heather's website. I ordered the Acacia (Tummy Fiber) right away, then later the books. The fiber is wonderful! It doesn't get gritty, and you can add it to soft foods as well, like applesauce. There is NO taste or texture to it at all, as is it completely soluble. Just make sure you put the fiber in a glass first, then add the liquid, stirring with a fork. If for some reason it doesn't mix all the way, which is rare, just let it sit for a few minutes. I also have been on the diet, and am using her peppermint capsules. And now, I CAN LEAVE THE HOUSE!!! I can venture away from the bathroom like a normal person. I have my life back.
And the Acacia helps all three types of IBS. I just wish I would had found it sooner.
It also ships quickly, just one more plus. I can't say enough good things about Heather and her products. I'm ordering more right now. Give it a try, don't let IBS hold you hostage anymore. You won't regret trying the Acacia.

IBS
About 20% of Americans suffers from IBS, which makes it one of the most common disorders diagnosed by doctors. It occurs more often in women than in men, and it usually begins around age 20. Irritable bowel syndrome can be the source of a great deal of discomfort and distress, but it does not pose a threat to the patient’s life or does not permanently harm the intestines. IBS does not cause intestinal bleeding or serious disease such as cancer. Most people can control and reduce their symptoms with diet, stress management, and medications prescribed by their physician.
