Rogaine Reviews
I started using this after noticing my hair getting thinner, then
looking at my mom's head and seeing LOTS of scalp. I have always had
thin, fine hair but it was getting ridiculous. I've been using this
stuff for three years and my hair is thicker than it has been in my
entire life. Mom is using it now and she is back to having a full head
of hair. My hairdresser actually had to thin it a little in the back.
I can't believe it. It just keeps getting thicker. Thank you, Rogaine!
I'm 30 and last year my hair started thinning. At the area around
my part you could see a lot of scalp. My dermatologist said this is
"female pattern baldness" (which is pretty traumatic to hear!)
Right away I started using Rogaine, and after 3 or 4 months I saw great
results! The area around my scalp no longer looks thin, and I have a
LOT of regrowth. I couldn't be happier, but gave it 4 stars for 2 reasons.
It's a pain to apply- 2X day and makes my scalp look a little greasy
and needs some time to dry. Also, I've never had facial hair, and now
I have a little...really blonde and very fine, but still facial hair.
I'm really happy with the results overall. I hope this helps you! I
do suggest before using this product to check with a dermatologist.
If you are stressing about your thinning like I was last year, try this
product!
This stuff has worked for me - I've been using Rogaine since 1995...
first in its original (high priced) versions for around $80 or $90 and
now that I can get the generic brand for $10 per month, it's a great
deal. I've stopped using it a couple of times and always notice a big
difference when I do (and so does my barber). So, I recommend Minoxidyl
but get the generic because the name brand doesn't do anything special.
Your wallet will thank you.
I've been using Minoxidil and/or Rogaine since 1996. I could count
the strands of hair on the front part of my head, so my Dermatologist
told me to get started. My hair all grew back after 6 months of using
it. I began with 2x per day, but switched to 1x a day about 2 years
ago and see no difference at all, no additional thinning and no hair
loss either. I use it just before blow-drying my hair; it gives my hair
a bit more body that way.
My Dermatologist said I could use any of the men's products including
the 5%(as long as I'm not planning to get pregnant because that's too
strong if so). I buy generic women's, men's, or name-brand Rogaine,
whatever is on sale, it all works the same. The only difference is the
5% leaves your hair greasy, so I don't recommend it.
I am so glad I use this product, without it, I'd be bald by now.
Good luck; I'm a hairdresser, I know how AWFUL it is for a woman to
experience thinning and hair loss.

Hair Loss
Hair loss and thinning hair have been sensitive issues for men throughout time. Recently, medical science has finally identified the main cause of hair loss. Now, it is a known medical fact that hair loss stems from both genetic and hormonal causes. Androgenetic Alopecia or "male pattern hair loss" is implicated in 95% of hair loss cases.
